About the Role We are looking for an experienced Database & Platform Engineer to manage mission-critical PostgreSQL environments running on Kubernetes, build highly available and reliable database infrastructure, automate deployments, and support modern Data Lakehouse initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Manage PostgreSQL production environments, performance tuning, backup/restore and disaster recovery. • Operate Kubernetes-based PostgreSQL clusters using CloudNativePG or similar operators. • Automate infrastructure and deployments using GitOps, Helm, Terraform and Ansible. • Support data integration, CDC, metadata management and Lakehouse technologies. • Drive monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis and production reliability. Requirements • 9+ years of experience in database and platform engineering • Expertise in PostgreSQL DBA, performance tuning, and troubleshooting • Experience with CloudNativePG, PostgreSQL HA/DR, replication, WAL, and PITR • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, StatefulSets, PVCs, RBAC, and networking • Proficiency in ArgoCD, GitOps, Helm, Kustomize, and Azure DevOps • Experience with PgBouncer, backup/restore, and database reliability • Skills in Terraform, Ansible, Linux, Bash, and Python • Knowledge of Apache Airflow, Spark, PySpark, and Spark SQL • Familiarity with Data Lakehouse technologies: Apache Iceberg, Polaris Catalog, and Trino • Experience with secrets management: OpenBao, Keycloak, and Kubernetes Secrets • Skills in monitoring and observability: Prometheus, Grafana, and logging
