About the Role We are looking for EDI Developers with strong healthcare payer/clearinghouse experience to support an Edifecs-to-Azure modernization initiative. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop EDI transaction processing pipelines using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Integration Account, Service Bus, and API Management. • Re-platform X12 mapping, validation, and transformation rules from Edifecs into Azure-native solutions. • Work with healthcare transaction sets including 834, 278, 270/271, 835, and 837 (Institutional/Professional/Dental). • Partner with QE teams for synthetic EDI file generation, test scenarios, automated validation, and legacy-vs-new output parity. • Leverage AI/GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot/LLM-based solutions to accelerate mapping and testing. • Troubleshoot EDI envelope, segment, validation, and business-rule errors. • Create mapping specifications, migration runbooks, and cutover/rollback plans. • Collaborate with onshore/offshore teams, EDI BAs, clearinghouses, and trading partners during parallel runs and go-live. Requirements • 5+ years of hands-on X12 EDI experience in healthcare payer/clearinghouse environments • Strong experience with 834, 278, 270/271, 835 & 837 • Working knowledge of Edifecs – XEngine, Transaction Manager, SpecBuilder, or similar • Experience migrating from legacy EDI platforms • Hands-on Azure Integration experience – Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus/Event Grid, Integration Account • Strong C#/.NET or Python skills • Knowledge of HIPAA 5010, companion guides, and trading-partner onboarding • Experience with GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI-assisted development tools • SQL and cloud data stores for transaction logging, reconciliation, and audit trails • Strong EDI troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
