About the Role We are looking for an experienced Firmware Validation Test Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on testing embedded systems, connectivity validation, and developing test automation. Key Responsibilities • Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing for audio and streaming features • Execute validation on test benches and in-vehicle environments • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression suites • Identify coverage gaps and improve feature-level test coverage • Reproduce defects and analyze logs using Wireshark, DLT, ADB, Bluetooth/HCI traces, and vehicle logs • Triage field issues and collaborate with firmware, diagnostics, and fleet support teams • Manage defects end-to-end using JIRA, including reproduction steps, logs, severity, and fix verification • Maintain test benches, in-vehicle rigs, and diagnostic setups • Use Python scripting to automate repetitive checks and parse logs • Collaborate with firmware leads, product managers, and integration partners Requirements • 8+ years of hands-on firmware / embedded QA validation experience • Functional, integration, regression, and manual testing • Connectivity validation: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE/5G, GNSS, or vehicle networking • Python scripting — mandatory • Linux / Ubuntu • Log analysis using Wireshark, DLT, ADB, or similar tools • Field issue reproduction and root cause analysis • JIRA, Confluence, and defect lifecycle management Education • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
