About the Role We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team, responsible for migrating client research data, developing back-casting models, and implementing AI-powered automation to streamline data workflows. Key Responsibilities • Migrate years of client research from legacy systems into the company's data model • Partner with researchers to align historical data with live tracking data • Use AI agents and automation to streamline ingestion, validation, and analysis workflows • Own client-facing product projects end to end, understanding customer needs and delivering measurable outcomes • Work with researchers, clients, and the product team to identify platform gaps and improve analysis capabilities Requirements • 5–10 years of technical, client-facing experience in Forward Deployed Engineering or related fields • Experience at a Seed to Series B startup in a high-ownership environment • Strong SQL/PostgreSQL and Python skills for complex data engineering challenges • Proven ability to handle messy, evolving datasets with changing schemas • Familiarity with SPSS, tracking studies, survey data, or statistical weighting • Ability to lead projects from discovery through implementation with minimal supervision
