About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable enterprise backend applications and services. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop scalable enterprise backend applications and services • Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders • Adhere to modern software engineering, code quality, security, CI/CD, and cloud-native development practices • Work within an Agile delivery team Requirements • 10+ years of software development experience with strong specialization in Java backend development • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, Oracle, and SQL/PL/SQL • Strong understanding of Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, and Java design principles • In-depth understanding of modern application architecture and software design patterns • Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture and Microservices Architecture • Experience developing Event-Driven Services • Experience with REST and GraphQL API implementations • Strong understanding of Relational Database Management Systems, particularly Oracle • Experience designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend APIs • Experience with cloud-native application development • Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Strong experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, and OpenShift • Experience with Git/GitHub Enterprise for source code management • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing • Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools such as JIRA • Practical exposure to AI-assisted software development tools, including GitHub Copilot • Strong problem-solving, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis skills
