About the Role We are looking for a talented Java Developer to join our team in New York City. This role focuses on building innovative, customer-facing applications with a focus on transportation systems. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement customer-facing applications • Develop software requirements and prepare scopes of work • Provide technical estimates and manage projects independently • Utilize Java, Kotlin, and SQL for development • Work with AWS technologies including EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, and RDS/PostgreSQL Requirements • Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, and SQL • Experience with AWS technologies including EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, and RDS/PostgreSQL • Familiarity with Docker, ActiveMQ, Firebase, and Sentry • Knowledge of GIS / geospatial technologies such as ESRI, ArcGIS, or Mapbox • Previous experience or working knowledge of railroad operations (Must Have) • Experience designing and developing customer-facing applications • Ability to independently manage technical projects, develop software requirements, prepare scopes of work, and provide estimates • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
