About the Role We are looking for a skilled Kafka Developer / Messaging Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on improving system reliability and automating operational tasks using messaging technologies and SRE/DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities • Improve system reliability, availability, and performance using SRE principles • Automate operational tasks and reduce manual effort • Build and maintain automation scripts, Ansible playbooks, and CI/CD pipelines • Support production incidents, RCA, and capacity planning • Collaborate with application and platform engineering teams Requirements • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and/or IBM MQ • Experience with Ansible, Chef Infra, or other configuration management tools • Strong knowledge of Kafka architecture — brokers, topics, partitions, and replication • Experience with Java development and debugging • Scripting knowledge in Shell, Bash, or Python • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git • Monitoring and alerting using Splunk, Dynatrace, or Prometheus • Knowledge of Linux, distributed systems, incident management, and root cause analysis • Exposure to AWS cloud services is a plus
