About the Role We are looking for a strong, hands-on Kafka Administrator to manage production Kafka environments. Key Responsibilities • Administer Kafka clusters in production environments • Manage Cloudera Kafka and Confluent Platform • Provision, configure, and manage AWS MSK • Migrate Kafka from on-premises to AWS MSK • Implement Terraform and GitLab CI/CD • Utilize Datadog for monitoring and troubleshooting • Manage Kafka broker settings, replication, partitions, ISR, and consumer groups • Implement Kafka security measures including TLS, SASL, IAM, and ACLs • Work with AWS networking, Linux, and scripting Requirements • Extensive experience with Kafka cluster administration • Knowledge of Cloudera Kafka and Confluent Platform • Experience with AWS MSK provisioning, configuration, and management • Experience with Kafka migration from on-premises to AWS MSK • Proficiency with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD • Experience with Datadog monitoring and troubleshooting • Understanding of Kafka broker management, replication, partitions, ISR, and consumer groups • Knowledge of Kafka security – TLS, SASL, IAM, and ACLs • Experience with AWS networking, Linux, and scripting IMPORTANT: Candidates must currently be local to Denver, CO or St. Louis, MO and available to work onsite 4 days per week.
