About the Role We are seeking a Lead Java Backend Developer to join our team for a contract position. This role requires expertise in enterprise backend software development and API architecture using Java and microservices. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement RESTful APIs • Lead technical architecture and standards • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors • Integrate enterprise applications with AI-enabled services • Design and implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) solutions • Work with GCP cloud-native architectures and services Requirements • 96 months experience in enterprise backend software development and API architecture using Java and microservices • 36 months experience in a technical leadership or architecture role • 24 months experience integrating enterprise applications with AI-enabled services • 12 months experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) • 24 months experience with GCP cloud-native architectures • 24 months experience in high-compliance environments • 24 months experience designing data-integrity and API security controls
