About the Role We are seeking a Lead Java/Spring Boot Engineer with UI experience for a long-term contract opportunity in Fort Mill, SC. This role requires a strong background in full-stack development and an AI-first engineering approach. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement software that is reliable, explainable, scalable and fit for regulated financial operations • Lead development using Java and Spring Boot on the backend • Integrate APIs and work with cloud-native delivery patterns • Utilize AI-assisted development processes to accelerate prototyping and implementation • Maintain and extend existing Angular-based components while developing new front-end features with React Requirements • Strong professional experience delivering full-stack applications in complex enterprise environments • Deep hands-on experience with React and Angular, including component design and state handling • Solid Spring Boot/Spring Framework delivery experience in production systems • Experience building and integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs • Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores • Experience with cloud-hosted systems, ideally in AWS-style environments • Experience with event, queue or message-based integrations such as Kafka, MQ, SQS/SNS • Strong understanding of automated testing across unit, integration and UI/component layers • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices • Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools • Clear understanding of agentic development principles Benefits • Flexible hybrid work schedule (3 days a week in office) • Opportunity to connect with UK teams when needed
