About the Role We are seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer to join our team at Virtusa. This role involves leading quality assurance automation efforts and ensuring high-quality software delivery. Key Responsibilities • Lead and develop automated testing frameworks • Implement and maintain test automation scripts • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines • Mentor junior QA engineers Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 6+ years of total experience, including at least 3 years as a QA Automation Engineer, SDET, or Software Developer • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C# • Hands-on experience with web and API testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, or Postman • Proficiency in Git and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions • Strong understanding of database fundamentals and the ability to write SQL queries for data validation • Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
