About the Role We are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join our team, focusing on OpenShift and CI/CD technologies. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position with a hybrid work model. Key Responsibilities • Manage Apache Tomcat installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting • Work with Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes for containerization • Handle SSL certificate management including creation, installation, renewal, retention, and revocation • Implement configuration management using Chef and Ansible • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD • Utilize IaC tools like Terraform, Puppet, and version control systems Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub • Work with build tools Maven and Gradle • Manage OS and scripting tasks with RHEL, Bash/Shell, Python, and JavaScript Requirements • Strong experience with middleware technologies including Apache Tomcat • Expertise in containerization with Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes • Proficient in SSL certificate management • Experience with configuration management tools Chef and Ansible • Knowledge of CI/CD and automation with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS • Experience with application servers IBM WebSphere and Red Hat JBoss EAP • Proficiency in IaC tools Terraform, Puppet, and version control systems Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub • Experience with build tools Maven and Gradle • Strong OS and scripting skills with RHEL, Bash/Shell, Python, and JavaScript • Additional plus: Apache Kafka, release management, production support, and performance tuning
