About the Role We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Architect with strong systems programming expertise, technical leadership, and vendor management experience to join our team. Key Responsibilities • Manage and oversee mainframe outsourcing providers and third-party vendors • Lead mainframe infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization • Oversee capacity planning, storage administration, software upgrades, and system releases • Manage mainframe incidents, problem resolution, and change management • Review and approve vendor activities, system changes, and software implementations • Develop mainframe utilities, automation processes, and operational improvements • Provide technical guidance and leadership to application development and infrastructure teams • Ensure compliance with ITIL practices, SLAs, and vendor commitments Requirements • 10+ years of hands-on Mainframe Systems Programming experience • Strong expertise in mainframe operating systems, system software, and utilities • Experience managing mainframe outsourcing agreements and Managed Service Providers • Strong vendor management experience, including SOWs, SLAs, and service delivery • Excellent knowledge of ITIL, Incident, Problem, and Change Management • Experience establishing mainframe best practices, governance, and operational procedures • Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems required; Master's preferred
