About the Role We are seeking a Mainframe IMS Engineer to join our team, focusing on IMS system programming and database administration in a mainframe environment. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and support IBM IMS DB/TM systems • Perform database administration tasks including HALDB, Fast Path, HIDAM, and HDAM • Implement IMS SYSGEN and manage DBD, PSB, ACB configurations • Utilize DBRC for database recovery operations • Implement IMS Connect solutions • Perform backup, recovery, and database reorganization • Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting • Manage SMP/E, PTFs, and IMS upgrades • Ensure disaster recovery capabilities • Work with Parallel Sysplex and Shared Queues • Develop REXX scripts for automation Requirements • Strong experience with IBM IMS DB and IMS TM • Experience with IMS SYSGEN, DBD, PSB, ACB, and DBRC • Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, JES2, and SDSF • Experience in IMS backup, recovery, and database reorganization • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills • Exposure to sysplex and data-sharing environments • Experience with RACF, DB2, CICS, and MQ integration
