About the Role We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester to join our team for a 12+ month contract role. This is a 100% onsite position in Austin, TX, requiring 7+ years of experience. Key Responsibilities • Create and execute test scripts • Produce required documentation • Participate in project meetings and discussions • Support with required project activities • Give live Sprint demos Requirements • 7+ years of experience as a Manual Tester • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience • Proficiency in writing test cases based on US’s/EPICS • Expertise with defect management tools (ALM) • Expertise in various testing levels (Sprint, Regression) in Agile Methodology • Strong analytical skills to break down complex systems using the US’s/EPIC documentation • Experience in API Testing (REST and SOAP) • Experience using JIRA or JIRA Plug-Ins as the defect tracking tool • Experience in running batch jobs in Linux/Unix using Putty • Hands-on experience mocking the inbound files looking at the Storyboards • Demonstrates hands-on experience with relational databases (such as Oracle or similar) • Displays a good understanding of database principles and write SQLs beyond just data access • Strong written and oral communication skills • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and professional skills • Effective collaboration with clients and team leadership • Strong problem-solving abilities • Self-driven, detail-oriented approach as a team player Preferred Skills • Functional experience working on Integrated Eligibility Projects • Knowledge of SDLC processes • Automation work experience in developing scripts using existing or new framework
