About the Role We are seeking a Mobile QA Engineer to join our team for a 6-month contract role. This position requires hands-on experience with iOS and Android automation, with a focus on retail and e-commerce testing. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain automated tests using Appium for both iOS and Android platforms • Automate testing for hybrid applications, including switching between native and webview contexts • Own and enhance mobile automation frameworks, including architecture and reliability • Test native and hybrid mobile applications with a focus on checkout, payments, and promotions • Troubleshoot platform-specific issues using device logs, automation logs, and debugging tools Requirements • 5+ years of hands-on mobile application testing experience across iOS and Android • Strong Appium experience developing and maintaining automated tests • Demonstrated experience automating hybrid applications • Proven ownership of a mobile automation framework • Retail or e-commerce testing experience, particularly checkout, payments, and promotions • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C# • Practical experience with Git branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merge conflict resolution • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
