About the Role We are seeking a MongoDB Engineer to join our client's team for a long-term contract. This role focuses on managing and optimizing NoSQL database systems, primarily MongoDB and Neo4j, in cloud environments. Key Responsibilities • Automate the deployment, configuration, and scaling of MongoDB clusters and Neo4j instances, ensuring high availability, security, and monitoring • Support onboarding of new users and customers onto Neo4j, including AKS deployment and containerized image management • Collaborate with internal developers to integrate NoSQL databases into CI/CD pipelines, offering guidance, troubleshooting, and documentation • Implement automation for backup management, lifecycle operations, and platform performance monitoring • Optimize costs and resources by managing backup retention, monitoring usage, and tuning performance • Contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing to elevate team-wide understanding of NoSQL systems Requirements • Strong experience with MongoDB (Atlas preferred, Enterprise optional) and Neo4j • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, primarily Azure and GCP • Working knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS or GKE preferred) and containerized deployments; familiarity with Docker and image registries • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including automation using Python and Terraform • Ability to troubleshoot production issues, document processes, and provide guidance to internal teams • Passion for improving platform scalability, reliability, and developer enablement
