About the Role Ascend Technology is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This role requires strong hands-on experience with enterprise network technologies and security. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure • Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and other network security devices • Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform infrastructure upgrades • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability Requirements • 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience • Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco, Fortinet, or similar technologies • Expertise in Enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP • Experience with network security, troubleshooting, and infrastructure upgrades • Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and network monitoring is a plus
