About the Role We are looking for strong, hands-on Network Security Engineers to support the Information Security team in a 6-month contract-to-hire position. Key Responsibilities • Administer enterprise Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW/UTM) • Manage firewall policies, rule management, URL filtering, Layer-7 inspection, and SSL/TLS inspection • Tune IDS/IPS, manage signatures, and reduce false positives • Implement and troubleshoot 802.1X wired and wireless Network Access Control (NAC) • Administer and troubleshoot Enterprise Remote Access VPN • Maintain network diagrams, runbooks, and technical documentation Requirements • 5+ years of Network Security Engineering experience in production environments • Hands-on experience with enterprise NGFW/UTM administration • Strong experience with firewall policies, rule management, URL filtering, Layer-7 inspection, and SSL/TLS inspection • IDS/IPS tuning, signature management, and false-positive reduction • 802.1X wired and wireless Network Access Control (NAC) implementation and troubleshooting • Enterprise Remote Access VPN administration and troubleshooting • Strong understanding of all layers of the OSI model • Experience with formal change management processes, production support, and ticket SLAs • Must be a US Citizen • Must currently be local to Foster City / Bay Area, California • No relocation candidates • Strong hands-on enterprise firewall and 802.1X NAC experience
