About the Role We are looking for a Senior Performance & Load Testing QA Engineer to join our team at Amex. This role focuses on ensuring system performance through rigorous testing and analysis. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement performance and load testing strategies • Analyze HTTP/API and Event/WebSocket load testing results • Identify latency, throughput, and error-rate issues • Troubleshoot bottlenecks and performance problems • Utilize tools such as k6, Locust, and Gatling Requirements • 12+ years of experience in performance and load testing • Strong hands-on experience with HTTP/API and Event/WebSocket load testing • Expertise in latency, throughput, and error-rate analysis • Experience with distributed load generation and observability tools • Knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog • Familiarity with GCP and Kubernetes • Experience with test-environment setup, configuration, and data seeding • Ability to build traffic-replay tools and realistic, repeatable test scenarios • Experience with LLM-assisted data processing is a plus
