About the Role We are looking for an advanced Power BI developer to build and maintain a stable, reliable Power BI Service environment and create complex custom UI visualizations. This role involves data validation, root cause analysis of loan data issues, and collaboration with business and technical teams. Key Responsibilities • Design a stable, reliable, and effective Power BI Service environment for reporting • Develop dashboards for various business users • Create new complex Power BI custom UI visualizations according to specifications • Perform data validation to ensure data quality across multiple data sets • Gather business requirements, document business rules, and lead technical meetings • Develop data refresh strategies sourcing from Azure SQL Server and other data sources • Build automation routines to export data to other mediums such as Excel • Configure security, accessibility, and access management best practices for the reporting environment • Ensure all reports meet agency and performance requirements • Lead Power BI technical training, mentoring, and co-development with business area employees • Develop technical manuals, deliver daily project status reports, and perform knowledge transfer Requirements • 10+ years of advanced Power BI development experience • Experience performing robust student loan data validation (including forbearance data) • Strong experience writing technical documentation • Excellent communication skills, including with high-level leaders • Versatile presentation skills, both informal and formal
