About the Role We are looking for a Principal Software Architect to join our team at a French multinational corporation. This is a consultant role with a 12-month duration, with possible extension. Key Responsibilities • Define the software architecture, technical roadmap and design standards • Design reusable SDKs and components for licensing, activation, entitlement management and software monetization • Break monoliths into modular, reusable components that run on Windows, Linux and embedded environments • Enable integration with C/C++, C#/.NET, Java, Python and Go • Architect microservices and containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) for cloud, on-prem, edge and offline environments • Integrate licensing platforms such as Revenera FlexNet and Thales Sentinel • Make software delivery secure through encryption, code signing, secure storage and authentication • Mentor developers and tech leads, and work with Product, Security, DevOps and Firmware teams Requirements • 12+ years of experience in software development, including 4+ years in an architecture role • Strong hands-on C/C++ and cross-platform development (Windows, Linux, embedded/RTOS a plus) • SDK and library design: JNI, P/Invoke, FFI, C ABI • Microservices, DDD and modular architecture • REST, gRPC, OpenAPI, Kafka/MQTT • Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD • AWS and/or Azure • Encryption, PKI, code signing and software security • CMake, NuGet, Maven, Conan • OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana
