About the Role We are looking for a Python Backend Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on developing backend systems using Python and FastAPI, with expertise in MCP and workflow orchestration. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI • Develop and maintain microservices architecture • Implement workflow engines and state machines for multi-step orchestration • Ensure system resiliency through proper error handling and retry mechanisms • Optimize performance using Redis and caching strategies • Implement robust testing with Pytest for unit and integration testing • Set up logging, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines • Ensure security through OAuth2, JWT, and proper authentication Requirements • 5+ years of Python backend development experience • Strong expertise in Python and FastAPI • Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or Tool-Based Orchestration • Strong knowledge of REST/JSON APIs, Microservices, and API Orchestration • Experience with Distributed Systems, Async Programming, and Concurrency • Hands-on experience with Workflow Engines, State Machines, and Multi-Step Orchestration • Knowledge of Retry Mechanisms, Idempotency, Failure Handling, and Resiliency • Experience with Redis, Caching, and Performance Optimization • Strong testing skills with Pytest, Unit, and Integration Testing • Experience with Logging, Monitoring, Git, and CI/CD Pipelines • Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, Authentication, and Authorization • Basic understanding of LLM Tool Calling Patterns Nice to Have • AWS Cloud experience • Insurance or Financial Services domain experience
