About the Role We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join the State of Texas team. This role requires extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, with a focus on developing and maintaining test automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities • Conduct System Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) • Develop, refactor, and maintain test automation frameworks • Create automated regression test scripts • Utilize Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and UiPath for test automation • Manage defects using Jira and other tracking tools • Implement requirements traceability and test coverage analysis • Create and maintain test documentation including plans, cases, and matrices • Integrate with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps • Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and Gherkin • Work with API frameworks including MuleSoft • Utilize AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT • Debug and optimize test scripts Requirements • 10+ years of experience in QA automation (mandatory) • Strong background in manual testing methodologies • Expertise in test automation framework development • Proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and UiPath • Experience with Jira, Xray, Zephyr, and TestRail • Knowledge of programming languages including Java, Python, and JavaScript • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution • Experience with BDD and API frameworks • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools • Ability to debug and optimize test scripts
