About the Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Set-Top Box (STB), Android TV, Fire TV, and OTT/IPTV application testing.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of STBs and OTT applications
• Test Android OS, device firmware, video playback, Live TV, VOD, and streaming functionality
• Troubleshoot playback issues, buffering, crashes, audio/video sync, and network-related failures
• Analyze device logs using ADB, Logcat, Kibana/ELK, and Charles Proxy
• Validate APIs, backend integrations, firmware upgrades, and device compatibility
• Manage defects using Jira/Xray and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
Requirements
• Strong experience in STB, Android TV, Fire TV, or OTT/IPTV testing
• Hands-on expertise in Android application, OS, firmware, and physical-device testing
• Good understanding of Live TV, VOD, HLS/DASH, streaming protocols, and networking
• Experience with ADB, Logcat, device troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
• Familiarity with Jira/Xray or similar test management tools
• 5+ years of experience
