About the Role We are looking for a QA Engineer with 12+ years of experience who has grown from core QA into a Migration Engineer role. You’ll own end-to-end test strategy for complex on-premises to Microsoft Azure data and infrastructure migrations. Key Responsibilities • Define, design, and execute end-to-end Test Strategies and Test Scenarios for Lift amp; Shift (rehost) and re-architecture migrations • Perform source-to-target data reconciliation, completeness, schema alignment, and accuracy validation across Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse Analytics • Write and run complex SQL scripts (joins, aggregations, CTEs) to validate ETL/ELT pipelines and compare data • Lead SIT, UAT, regression, infrastructure parity, and network connectivity testing post-migration • Track and manage defects in Jira / Azure DevOps, working closely with Data Engineers and Cloud Architects to resolve issues Requirements • 10+ years of total IT experience in QA / Migration Engineering roles, with strong expertise in data migration testing • Expert-level SQL: complex queries, analytical functions, and script-based comparisons • Hands-on experience with the Azure stack: ADF, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and ADLS Gen2 • Strong proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Agile frameworks
