About the Role We are looking for a QA Tester to join our team at the State of Iowa. This role focuses on accessibility and API testing for government applications. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts • Perform manual and automated testing of web applications • Validate accessibility compliance against WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508 • Conduct API testing and SQL database validation • Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders • Support government applications related to education grant programs and IDEA Parts B and C Requirements • 5+ years of QA and software testing experience • Strong expertise in manual, functional, regression, UAT, usability, and accessibility testing • Accessibility certification: CPACC, WAS, or equivalent recognized credential • Thorough knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508 compliance • Experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts • Advanced SQL queries and database validation • Strong API testing and web services validation experience • Test planning, test case development, defect tracking, and documentation • Experience with Agile or similar SDLC methodologies • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
