About the Role We are seeking an SDET/QA Engineer for a 6-12 month contract position in Fremont, CA, requiring 5+ years of experience in QA automation engineering. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement test automation frameworks • Develop and maintain automated tests using Python and Playwright • Perform API testing and database validation • Debug and troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment • Collaborate with development teams to improve quality processes Requirements • 5+ years of experience in SDET, QA Automation Engineering, or Software Quality Engineering • Strong hands-on programming experience with Python • Strong experience with Playwright for test automation • Experience with Selenium and automation framework maintenance or migration • Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up • Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns, and Software Engineering Best Practices • API Testing experience • Debugging and Troubleshooting skills • Advanced SQL skills, including data validation, joins, and backend analysis • Experience with end-to-end test automation across UI, API, and database layers • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Benefits • Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for permanent employment
