About the Role We are looking for a Senior Backend Java Developer to join our team for a contract role in Boston, MA. This position requires 4 days of onsite work per week and involves developing robust web-based insurance applications. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs • Develop, test, implement, and support robust web-based insurance applications • Create source code, unit test cases, and technical documentation • Design and integrate software components using appropriate architectural patterns • Support functional testing, system integration testing, and deployments • Troubleshoot production issues and deliver solutions within project timelines • Contribute to application architecture, design discussions, and development best practices Requirements • Strong expertise in Core Java and Java/J2EE • Spring Framework and Spring Boot • AWS cloud services • Multithreading and concurrency • SQL, DB2, XML, and database technologies • REST and SOAP web services • Unit testing and application integration • 12+ years of experience • Must be local to Boston, MA • Onsite final-round interview in Boston, MA is mandatory
