About the Role Luna Data Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Business/Data Analyst – Reporting to support a public sector client. This role focuses on advanced business analysis for complex technology projects, with an emphasis on Mainframe Reports and Extracts. The position is 100% remote and based in Austin, TX. Key Responsibilities • Gather, analyze, develop, and document business requirements • Support the Mainframe Reports and Extract initiative • Analyze existing reporting processes and identify improvement opportunities • Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to define reporting requirements • Support the development, testing, and validation of reports and data extracts • Review business processes and recommend effective solutions • Prepare functional documentation and communicate requirements to project teams • Assist with testing, issue resolution, and implementation activities Requirements • Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Reporting Analyst • Hands-on experience with report development and reporting solutions • Experience with mainframe reporting and data extract processes is preferred • Strong knowledge of requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation • Experience preparing business requirements and functional specifications • Ability to review, assess, and improve business processes • Experience analyzing complex business and technical requirements • Strong data analysis, validation, and reconciliation skills • Experience working with technical teams on hardware and software implementation projects • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills • Public sector project experience is an advantage
