About the Role We are looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to join the State of Texas team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines into Snowflake, with a focus on data loading, transformation, SQL development, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines into Snowflake • Perform data loading, transformation, SQL development, and performance optimization • Analyze and troubleshoot complex data flows across legacy and cloud-based systems • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand reporting and data extraction requirements • Support Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions • Maintain technical documentation, data flows, system dependencies, and data integration processes • Support data validation, source-to-target reconciliation, testing, and production issue resolution • Deliver project milestones within established timelines and quality standards Requirements • Minimum 12+ years of overall experience • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake SQL, data loading, data transformations, and performance tuning • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data pipelines, and enterprise data integration patterns • Ability to analyze complex data flows and troubleshoot issues across multiple systems • Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), enterprise information management, and metadata management • Experience with Informatica, Matillion, Azure Data Factory, or similar data integration platforms • Ability to support downstream analytics and reporting requirements • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Data Processing, Business Administration, or a related field
