About the Role We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong Java/J2EE and AWS expertise to join a contract role in the wallets and cards domain for a client of Virtusa, JPMorgan Chase. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java/J2EE applications in an AWS cloud environment. • Implement and optimize complex workflows using Camunda and Apache Airflow. • Build reliable, scalable solutions for high-volume bulk data ingestion, transformation, and processing. • Implement performance tuning, workload distribution, auto-scaling, and resiliency enhancements. • Develop and maintain automated tests using JUnit and Cucumber. • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using APM tools and Splunk. • Implement AWS solutions and manage infrastructure using Terraform. • Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical solutions. • Establish clear project scope, manage expectations, and ensure timely delivery in an Agile environment. • Apply banking domain knowledge to wallets, cards, and transaction data processing. Requirements • 8+ years of software engineering / application development experience. • Strong Java, J2EE, and JavaScript development skills. • Mandatory hands-on AWS solution implementation experience. • Mandatory Terraform and infrastructure expertise. • Mandatory banking domain experience, specifically wallets and cards. • Experience with transaction datasets, high-volume data loading, and transformation. • Strong application coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance skills. • Experience working directly with clients on requirements and solution delivery.
