About the Role We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in London, UK. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, with a focus on backend development, database management, and DevOps. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, etc. • Implement business logic, database interactions, and integrations with third-party services. • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability. • Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end frameworks. • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement designs and ensure a seamless user experience. • Design and manage relational databases and/or NoSQL databases. • Write efficient queries and optimize database performance. • Collaborate with DevOps to deploy applications in cloud environments. • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality. • Debug and resolve application issues in a timely manner. Requirements • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering. • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. • Proficiency in REST APIs and Event-Driven Architecture. • Experience with backend development and low-latency systems. • Knowledge of trading adapters and financial messaging. • Understanding of structured products and derivatives. • Banking or capital markets experience. • Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases. • Knowledge of Cloud, CI/CD, Agile, and SDLC. • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools and responsible AI practices.
