About the Role We are looking for a Splunk Observability Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on implementing and managing observability solutions using Splunk and related technologies. Key Responsibilities • Implement Splunk Observability Cloud including APM, Infra Monitoring, RUM, and Log Observer • Utilize OpenTelemetry for collectors, processors, exporters, and instrumentation • Work with distributed tracing, span analysis, and service dependency mapping • Integrate Splunk Enterprise and ITSI for observability use cases • Apply strong Linux/Unix skills and scripting in Python and Bash • Manage Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) Requirements • Hands-on experience with Splunk Observability Cloud • Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry • Experience with distributed tracing and service dependency mapping • Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise and ITSI • Strong Linux/Unix skills and scripting abilities • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms Preferred Qualifications • Splunk Observability or OTel certifications • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic • Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, or CI/CD pipelines
