About the Role We are looking for an Observability Engineer with expertise in Splunk to join our team. This role focuses on implementing and managing observability solutions for distributed systems. Key Responsibilities • Implement Splunk Observability Cloud for APM, infrastructure monitoring, RUM, and log observer • Utilize OpenTelemetry for collectors, processors, exporters, and instrumentation • Work with distributed tracing, span analysis, and service dependency mapping • Design observability solutions for microservices, APIs, and distributed systems • Maintain strong Linux/Unix skills and scripting in Python and Bash Requirements • Hands-on experience with Splunk Observability Cloud • Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) • Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise and ITSI • Strong Linux/Unix skills and scripting abilities Preferred Qualifications • Splunk Observability or OpenTelemetry certifications • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic • Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, or CI/CD pipelines
