About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Synon & COBOL400 Developer with strong hands-on expertise in AS/400 development and RxCLAIM, preferably within the Healthcare / Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) domain. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using SYNON/COOL 2E, COBOL400, CL/400, CLLE, and DB2/400 • Develop and support RxCLAIM and pharmacy claims adjudication functionality • Analyze and enhance complex claims processing logic and business workflows • Support integrations between AS/400 applications and downstream healthcare/PBM systems • Perform production support, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and defect resolution • Execute major enhancements to existing healthcare applications • Conduct impact analysis, unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT • Document application functionality, system flows, and business logic • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership when required Requirements • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SYNON / COOL 2E • Strong experience with COBOL400 • Hands-on expertise in CL/400 and CLLE • Strong knowledge of DB2/400 • Extensive experience working with RxCLAIM • Strong understanding of Pharmacy Claims Adjudication and PBM processes • Experience analyzing and modifying complex claims processing logic and business rules • Experience integrating AS/400 applications with downstream healthcare systems Good to Have • Experience supporting large-scale healthcare or PBM platforms • AS/400 application modernization experience • Strong understanding of legacy application architecture • Experience working in Agile environments
