Technical Project Manager

Job Title: Technical Project Manager – Data Engineering & Modernization Location:  Newark, NJ (No Remote - 3 days in office) JD: Role Name - Technical Project Manager ROLE_DESCRIPTION - Please do not share any profiles if the candidate does not have investment management background and data engineering project management experience. Role Overview We are looking for a technically strong Project Manager / Delivery Manager with prior hands-on experience as a Developer or Technical Lead, who has transitioned into a project or delivery management role. The individual should have deep technical understanding to effectively lead complex data engineering and modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale data migration and data platform modernization initiatives. Drive project planning, execution, and governance across onshore and offshore teams. Develop and manage detailed project plans, migration roadmaps, sprint backlogs, and delivery milestones. Coordinate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and architecture teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery. Proactively identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and design gaps, and define mitigation strategies. Facilitate informed decision-making by leveraging strong technical depth and understanding of underlying platforms. Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations. Required Experience & Skills Prior hands-on experience as a Developer or Technical Lead before moving into a Project Manager or Delivery Manager role. Strong background in data engineering, infrastructure management, and data architecture.
