About the Role We are seeking a Virtual CISO (vCISO) / Cybersecurity Program Lead to provide expert guidance on cybersecurity strategy and implementation. This role requires extensive experience in managing and leading cybersecurity programs. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage cybersecurity programs for clients • Develop and implement security policies, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) • Conduct cyber risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and create security roadmaps • Respond to ransomware and business email compromise incidents • Present to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders • Ensure compliance with NIST CSF 2.0, NIST SP 800-53 / 800-171, FERPA, GLBA Safeguards Rule, and PCI DSS Requirements • 15+ years of cybersecurity experience • 7+ years as CISO / vCISO / Cybersecurity Program Leader • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred • CISSP or CISM certification required • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure Security • Knowledge of SOC/MDR governance and incident response • Understanding of ransomware and business email compromise response • Experience with cyber risk assessments, risk registers, and security roadmaps • Strong background in security policies, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) • Executive leadership and board-level presentation skills
