About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the technical architecture and design of Waters Empower within a cloud or hybrid environment. This role requires expertise in Waters Empower infrastructure, cloud architecture, and laboratory systems. Key Responsibilities • Assess the existing Waters Empower infrastructure, including application servers, database servers, storage, network connectivity, and associated components • Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable cloud or hybrid infrastructure architecture for the Waters Empower platform • Evaluate infrastructure requirements, application dependencies, database configurations, laboratory instruments, and system integrations • Coordinate with Waters and other technology vendors to evaluate platform compatibility, deployment options, licensing, and support requirements Requirements • Strong hands-on experience with Waters Empower chromatography data system (CDS) infrastructure and architecture • Experience designing and supporting cloud-based or hybrid infrastructure environments • Strong understanding of application servers, database servers, storage architecture, networking, and infrastructure security • Experience with database architecture, laboratory instrument connectivity, and application dependencies within the Empower ecosystem • Knowledge of infrastructure migration planning, architecture assessments, and deployment strategies • Ability to develop infrastructure architecture diagrams, technical specifications, migration plans, and implementation documentation • Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams and external vendors
