About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Windows Automation Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with an enterprise financial services organization. This role requires expertise in Windows automation, bare-metal deployments, and PowerShell scripting. Key Responsibilities • Perform Windows OS engineering, endpoint administration, configuration, and troubleshooting • Develop robust PowerShell scripts for system management, OS deployments, and automated patch management • Build, customize, and deploy Windows images from scratch on bare-metal hardware • Understand Windows boot processes, boot records, and Boot Configuration Data (BCD) • Package, deploy, and configure applications and routine patches across enterprise endpoints Requirements • 3–5+ years of experience in Windows OS engineering and endpoint administration • Proven track record writing PowerShell scripts for system management and automation • Direct experience with bare-metal deployments and custom imaging • Clear understanding of Windows boot architecture and BCD • Experience with patch and application management in enterprise environments
