About the Role
We are looking for a Research Associate to join the Assay Productization team at 10x Genomics to support the development and commercial launch of new Single Cell Genomic products. This is a six-month contract position with the potential to extend, working at the interface between R&D and Production.
Key Responsibilities
- →Create NGS libraries from single cells, tissues, or isolated DNA/RNA using 10x instruments and consumables
- →Prepare, formulate, and test newly designed 10x reagents using SOPs or R&D protocols
- →Assist with reagent guard banding and stability studies
- →Help develop and implement new QC methods to assess reagent quality
- →Perform troubleshooting analysis of failed experiments and reagent issues
- →Facilitate handoffs from R&D to Operations by training staff on new workflows
- →Present work to internal stakeholders with clear explanations of methodology and data
Requirements
- ✓BS or MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or related field
- ✓3+ years (BS) or 2+ years (MS) experience in reagent or assay development
- ✓Deep understanding of molecular biology and hands-on experience with NGS library generation
- ✓Mastery of analytical techniques including qPCR, nucleic acid isolation, and Bioanalyzers
- ✓Ability to perform complex multi-step experiments with attention to detail
- ✓Experience troubleshooting molecular biology-based assays
- ✓Strong collaboration and communication skills
- ✓Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
