About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead IT-driven projects in the US healthcare Payer space. This role offers an exciting career path within the Abacus Client Implementation PMO, focusing on information technology projects at the intersection of IT and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage end-to-end execution of large-scale projects or multiple smaller projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality are consistently achieved
- →Coordinate with Client Delivery Managers to translate client requirements into clear delivery objectives and milestones
- →Implement project governance frameworks including RAID logs, status reporting, and stakeholder communication
- →Conduct detailed resource planning, capacity management, and risk assessments
- →Champion Agile methodologies within assigned projects; ensure backlog refinement and sprint execution quality
- →Facilitate regular status meetings, ensuring accurate project health reporting and timely risk mitigation
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of experience leading technically complex IT projects and programs, with at least 5 years in a full-time Project Manager role
- ✓Proven ability to manage projects through the full delivery lifecycle using standard PMO artifacts
- ✓Hands-on experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery models
- ✓Prior hands-on technical experience enabling effective engagement with engineering teams
- ✓Strong capability in proactively identifying, tracking, and communicating risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
