About the Role
The Financial Analyst supports financial planning and analysis processes across multiple collaborations within the Alliances team. This role prepares management analysis of actual versus benchmark results, cost share settlements, and financial analysis for partners while implementing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develops monthly, quarterly, and annual plans, LRP, and LBEs using planning systems and incorporating review changes from financial and operating management.
- →Prepares variance analysis for each planning cycle and develops management reporting schedules for supported areas.
- →Works with Accounting Shared Service on monthly close processes and financial reporting to ensure accurate monthly results, including P&L variance analysis and commentary.
- →Provides insights into business and financial performance drivers, assesses opportunities, and recommends prioritization decisions.
- →Prepares R&D cost models for business development assessments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect assumptions and cost estimates.
- →Assists with Monthly BD Update meetings by developing content and presenting to finance leadership.
- →Manages multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- →Leads ad hoc analysis, projects, and process improvements as needed.
Requirements
- ✓Experience in financial planning and analysis processes.
- ✓Ability to develop and implement financial models and reporting schedules.
- ✓Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- ✓Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
