About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to join the Alarm.com Hardware and Devices team. This role involves collaborating with various departments to deliver innovative security and IoT solutions for our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- →Become the product expert and liaison for your area of expertise
- →Own the end-to-end experience for a product and its underlying features
- →Communicate with members from each department to assess goals, priorities, and strategy
- →Drive the product development life cycle, including writing product specifications and testing new features
- →Develop and maintain relationships with technology partners, vendors, and customers
- →Work with engineering to facilitate product feature development
- →Ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met for your projects
- →Manage the go-to-market strategy for new products
- →Conduct market research and gather feedback from customers
- →Champion enhancements to existing products
Requirements
- ✓Minimum B.S. or B.A. from a competitive school with strong academic performance
- ✓1-3 years of work experience in technology, product management, or related fields
- ✓Experience with hardware products is strongly desired
- ✓Highly motivated, resourceful, self-starter with ability to deliver results
- ✓Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
- ✓Excellent written and oral communication skills
- ✓Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Passion for consumer technology and interest in developing a deep understanding of complex products and technologies
- ✓Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- ✓Experience using AI tools for research, writing, and data analysis is a plus
- ✓General knowledge of business, economics, and/or finance
- ✓Exposure to hardware/electronics, cloud-based software, cellular/wireless technology, and smart home automation is a plus
- ✓Previous experience in product lifecycle management, need-finding, and customer interviews/feedback is a plus
