About the Role
The Operations Lead is a critical member of the store leadership team at ALO, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency. This role works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to ensure optimal store operations and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and execute inventory management processes to maximize accuracy and reduce shrink
- →Investigate inventory accuracy issues and partner with the General Manager to address process or system gaps
- →Manage key operational functions including shipment, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, and replenishment
- →Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor
- →Support a safe work environment through effective stockroom standards and processes
- →Partner with the Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, and vendor relationships
- →Demonstrate business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies
- →Assess and fulfill business, team, and guest needs on the retail floor
- →Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience
- →Oversee Operations Associates, responsible for recruitment and development of talent
- →Evaluate operations associates using company performance tools and provide feedback for growth
- →Collaborate with Visual Lead and Sales & Service Lead to ensure cross-functional training and business execution
- →Execute company-level operations-focused directives and initiatives
Requirements
- ✓Prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
- ✓Proven leadership capabilities with excellent decision-making skills
- ✓Values feedback and is receptive to receiving and providing it
- ✓Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results individually and as a team
- ✓Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- ✓Alignment with and embodiment of ALO's Guiding Principles
- ✓Ability to lift, push, carry, or move up to 50 pounds
- ✓Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist, and safely climb ladders
- ✓Ability to stand and move for an entire shift
- ✓Proof of right to live and work in the UK
- ✓The Operations Lead role is full-time, requiring 32-40 hours per week. Full-time employees must be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts, with flexibility for holiday season coverage.
