About the Role
The Operations Lead is a critical member of the store leadership team at ALO, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency. This role works closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to ensure optimal store operations and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and execute inventory management processes to maximize accuracy and reduce shrink
- →Investigate inventory accuracy issues and partner with the General Manager to address process or system gaps
- →Manage key operational functions including shipment, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, and replenishment
- →Champion visual standards for the sales floor
- →Support a safe work environment through strong stockroom standards
- →Partner with the Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, and vendor relationships
- →Demonstrate business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies
- →Assess and fulfill business, team, and guest needs on the retail floor
- →Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience
- →Oversee Operations Associates, responsible for recruitment and development
- →Provide feedback to drive individual growth and improvement
- →Collaborate with Visual Lead and Sales & Service Lead for cross-functional training and business execution
- →Execute company-level operations-focused directives and initiatives
Requirements
- ✓Prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
- ✓Proven leadership capabilities with excellent decision-making skills
- ✓Values feedback and is receptive to receiving and providing it
- ✓Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results individually and as a team
- ✓Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- ✓Aligns with and embodies ALO's Guiding Principles
- ✓Ability to lift, push, carry, or move up to 50 pounds
- ✓Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
- ✓Ability to stand and move for an entire shift
- ✓Proof of right to live and work in the UK
- ✓The Operations Lead role is full-time and requires 32-40 hours per week. Full-time employees must be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts, which may be subject to change. All employees are expected to work from the week of Black Friday until the end of the holiday season, first week of January.
