About the Role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Flight Test Engineer to join their innovative defense technology team. This role involves developing approaches for test and evaluation (T&E) goals for Small UAS/Quadcopter systems and guiding test activities.

Key Responsibilities

→Determine and develop approaches to achieve T&E goals for Small UAS/Quadcopter
→Focus on new SUAS/Quadcopter aircraft development, with emphasis on electronics, avionics, propulsion, flight characteristics, rugged design, and quality at scale
→Conduct system and sub-system level T&E of hardware and software
→Support or lead in test planning, establishing test measures of success, conducting tests (ground and flight), analyzing test performance, and driving process improvement

Requirements

✓5+ years of sUAS flight test engineering experience
✓Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline
✓Expertise in the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules
✓Experience with energetics, explosive hazard handling, and Electronic Safe-Arming Device (ESAD)
✓Strong understanding of SUAS/Quadcopter engineering concepts and principles
✓Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately
✓Strong software and documentation experience
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✓Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✓Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
✓Ability to travel as required
