About the Role
Archer is seeking a Power Electronics Test Engineer to join their team developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. This role involves leading hardware and software integration and development tests for high-performance aerospace power electronics products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the hardware and software integration and development tests for high performance aerospace power electronics products
- →Specify, design, and perform testing of electrical aspects of product modules and boards
- →Define test plans and procedures, perform test cases, and generate test reports
- →Lead tester designs from conception into production
- →Create development test cases for modules and boards
- →Design, build, and maintain test stations
- →Conduct failure analysis of modules and boards
- →Support flight test data review and analysis
Requirements
- ✓BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years or MS with 1+ years of experience
- ✓Hands-on experience in integration and testing of high voltage power electronics converters
- ✓Understanding of power electronics components and modules
- ✓Experience converting requirements and schematics into test plans
- ✓Familiarity with automated test station hardware and software tools
- ✓Master of lab instruments: power supplies, oscilloscope, signal generators, etc.
- ✓Experience designing and building test stations
- ✓Experience managing vendors for test station design and build
- ✓Experience with power electronics board and module bring-up and design verification
- ✓Root cause analysis of power converter module failures
- ✓Analytical problem-solving skills
- ✓Excellent organizational and communication skills
