About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join the DSP Product team at Basis. This role focuses on building scalable backend systems and designing robust APIs to support programmatic buying.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own and evolve core programmatic workflows including planning, targeting, bidding, pacing, budgeting, and delivery
- →Develop and apply advanced AI/ML techniques such as bidding optimizations, budget pacing models, and forecasting
- →Partner with Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver high-quality execution and continuous innovation
- →Write comprehensive Product documentation including Confluence pages, PRDs, and Technical specifications
- →Ensure platform reliability, low latency, and scalable real-time bidding and data pipelines
- →Define and enforce privacy, compliance, identity, and data governance standards
- →Collaborate with Sales, CS, and Marketing to drive adoption and monetization of DSP capabilities
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in product management, including 2+ years in a technical or platform-facing PM role
- ✓Strong foundations in Data Science and Machine Learning
- ✓Proven ability to collaborate with engineers on system design, APIs, data structures, and architecture trade-offs
- ✓Familiarity with backend systems, micro-services, database modelling, and event-driven architectures
- ✓Proficiency in working with SQL and comfort reviewing technical documentation and code snippets
- ✓Experience launching internal tooling, APIs, or platform components that serve multiple teams
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Comfortable navigating ambiguity and aligning on shared solutions
- ✓Experience working with advertising APIs, marketing automation, or ad tech platforms is a plus
