The Program Manager – Corporate Development will serve as a program lead and growth driver for Berkadia’s BeEngaged startup accelerator. This role sits at the intersection of program leadership, ecosystem engagement, and strategic growth, supporting collaboration across internal teams, clients, and startup partners. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Development, this individual will own the day-to-day execution and evolution of BeEngaged programming, manage a pipeline of startup and pilot opportunities, and actively champion the program across Berkadia and the broader industry. This role requires a highly organized, entrepreneurial operator who can translate strategy into execution, manage multiple initiatives, and communicate effectively across audiences.
We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will be responsible for:
Program Development & Execution
• Support design and execution of BeEngaged programming (pilots, startup engagement, value propositions)
• Manage program cadence (events, startup interactions, internal engagement)
• Coordinate across internal teams and external partners
• Intake and route startup opportunities and pilot requests
• Develop and refine scalable models for producer and client participation
Marketing & Promotion
• Drive internal awareness and adoption of BeEngaged
• Build and manage a marketing calendar
• Own content and messaging (presentations, email, LinkedIn)
• Promote the program to startups, partners, and industry audiences
• Support events, demo days, and thought leadership efforts
Strategic Insights and Venture Enablement
• Scan the market for emerging technologies and startup solutions relevant to Berkadia’s priorities
• Support pilot definition (hypothesis, success criteria, measurement)
• Translate insights into clear narratives and next steps for stakeholders
• Maintain visibility into tools, trends, and business needs
• Support business cases and strategic narratives
Work Location and Travel
• This role allows for regular hybrid work arrangement, sharing time between a designated Berkadia office and a remote work location.
• Philadelphia or Salt Lake City area highly preferred
• Travel required (10-20%)
We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have:
• 2–4+ years in program management, corporate development, venture, startup, marketing or related fields
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Clear communicator with strong storytelling ability and experience developing content and messaging to drive engagement and adoption
• Experience with marketing, events, or program coordination preferred
• Analytical mindset with ability to synthesize insights
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and startup founders
• Familiarity with CRE, PropTech, or FinTech is a plus
• High ownership and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a similar position
